Waidelich, Virgil J., 84, of Archbold, Fulton Co., OH died August 7, 2017 at the same place. He was born January 11, 1933 at Wauseon, Fulton Co., OH to Arthur and Vera (Nofzinger) Waidelich. On August 21, 1955 at Wauseon he was married to Marilouise Miller, who is deceased.
Surviving are children, John (Sherri), Mike (Eileen), Jane (Mark) Bruner, Matt (Beth); 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and siblings, Marjorie (Charles) Gautsche, Gene (Mary Alice), Donna (Lyle) Friesen, and Grace (Ray-deceased) Kinsey.
A brother, Marvin preceded him in death.
1-W service - 2 year term - as an orderly in a Fremont, OH hospital, worked as a dairy farmer for 30 years and farmed an additional 14 years after he sold the cow herd. Virgil was an outdoorsman and is remembered for his great sense of humor. He was a lifelong member of West Clinton.
Memorial services were held August 11, 2017 at West Clinton Mennonite Church, Wauseon, OH with burial in Pettisville Cemetery, Pettisville, Fulton Co., OH.
Weaver, Ada Reiff Zimmerman, 61, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at her home.
She was born in Ephrata to the late David S. and Esther (Burkholder) Zimmerman and was the wife of Nelson B. Weaver with whom she would have shared 41 years of marriage on October 26th.
Ada was a member of Conestoga Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference).

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 25, at 9 am, at the residence, with further services from Conestoga Mennonite Church, West Earl Township, at 9:30 am, with Bishop Ammon Weaver officiating. Weaver, Carol A. Leaman, 62, of New Holland, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 8, 2017, and is now with Jesus.
Born in Ephrata, she was a daughter of the late Luke M. and Dorothy (Wanner) Leaman. She was married 41 years on May 22 to Tim L. Weaver.
Carol graduated from West Reading Hospital School of Nursing as an RN. She has been working since 1999 for the Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services in Ephrata, most recently as Director of Post-Abortion Ministry. She has also been training volunteers with Surrendering the Secret, a post abortion ministry, and serves on the board of 10 Million for Christ.
She was a member of Petra Church. Her first love was the Lord, and she deeply loved her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, the beach, beautiful sunsets, and was known for her smile and love for people.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Angie, married to Brian Zimmerman of Temple, Amy, married to Doug Pfautz of Ephrata, and Tina, married to Tyler Mull of Brownstown; 8 grandchildren; two sisters, Donna, married to Glen Kanagy of Belleville, Sandy, married to Clair Martin of Narvon; and a brother, Dale, married to Lonita Leaman of New Holland.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, September 14, at 10 am at Petra Church, 565 Airport Road, New Holland, with the Reverends Lester Zimmerman, Jeremy Leaman, and Brian Flewelling officiating. Interment will be in the Petra Memorial Park. Viewing will be held at the Church on Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Thursday, 9-10 am. Weaver, David
July 23, 1934 - April 9, 2017
SHIPSHEWANA - David Weaver, 82, of Shipshewana, died Sunday, April 9, 2017.
He was born July 23, 1934, to David and Alice (Hostetler) Weaver.
He married Martha Ellen Schrock; she survives.
Survivors also are daughters Mary Etta Mullet and Vera Chupp; sons Verlyn, Wilbur, David Jr. and Maynard Weaver; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; brothers Vernon, LeRoy, Freeman and Mervin Weaver; sisters Mary Jane Bontrager and Wilma Weaver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Darrel Weaver and brother Wilbur Weaver.
He was a farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be all day Tuesday, April 11, at the family’s residence, 8020 W. 050 N., Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, at the Calvin Miller residence, 0700 N. S. R. 5, Shipshewana. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Shipshewana.

Weaver, Ervin N., 83, of New Holland, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, at his home, on Monday, December 18, 2017. He was the loving husband of the late Alta Z. (Martin) Weaver who passed away on August 12, 2009. They were married for 53 years.
Born in West Earl Township, he was the son of the late Martin M. and Elizabeth (Nolt) Weaver.
He was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference. He was owner of MM Weaver & Sons farm machinery business for 60+ years. He enjoyed visiting with family, friends and business acquaintances. He also enjoyed traveling and collecting Massey Harris/Ferguson machinery.
Ervin is survived by a son, Clifford, husband of JoBeth (Forney) Weaver of Ephrata; five daughters, Joyce M., wife of Wilmer G. Hurst of Richland, Janice F., wife of Aaron E. Hurst of Leola, Darla J., wife of Raymond Brubacher of Morgantown, Silvia M., wife of John David Weaver of Denver, Sharon K., wife of Gary L. Martin of Ephrata; 34 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Frank, husband of Laura Weaver of Narvon, Edward, husband of Arlene Weaver of New Holland and Ivan Weaver of Lancaster; a sister, Nora, wife of Willard Stauffer of New Holland (wife of the late Ivan Horst) and a brother-in-law, Leon, husband of Clara Martin of Ephrata (husband of the Late Verna).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Weaver and two sisters, Verna (Weaver) Martin and Edna Weaver.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 1-4 and 6-8 PM at the Martindale Fellowship Center, 352 Martindale Road, Ephrata. Family services will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Farm Crest with further services at 9:30 AM at the Groffdale Mennonite Church, 90 Groffdale Church Road, Leola, with Bishop Curvin Z. Zimmerman and Ministers Edwin Reiff, Richard Burkholder and Paul Newswanger officiating.
Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.

Weaver, Esther M. Groff, 93, of Landis Homes, Lititz, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017. Born in Bareville, she was the daughter of Noah H. and Esther E. Hoover Groff. She was the wife of David M. Weaver with whom she would have celebrated 70 years of marriage in March.
Esther was a 1945 graduate of Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She worked as a nurse at the Children's Hospital in Elizabethtown, and also worked as a private duty nurse. Esther continued to use her nursing skills in her community by providing allergy shots and general care to her neighbors. She also worked part time at a local nursing home. Her nursing skills came to good use when her husband lost his arm in 1965 in a farming accident.
They moved to Tioga County in the fall of 1957 to help with a mission church in Morris Run, PA. They were members of Canton Mennonite Church, Canton, PA. In 2008, they retired to Landis Homes Retirement Community, Lititz, PA.
Surviving in addition to her husband are: 8 children, Eileen wife of Levi Charles, Leola, Barbara wife of Marlin Hershey, Lititz, Brenda wife of Kenneth Covelens, Lititz, Fred husband of Linda Weaver, Birmingham, Alabama, Carol wife of Donovan Oberholtzer, Lititz, Nancy wife of Lynn Roth, Lancaster, Keith husband of Jennifer Weaver, Harrisonburg, Virginia, D. Michael husband of Amy Weaver, Dillsburg; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Amos husband of Ruth Groff, Lititz. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Groff Wissler.
A memorial service will be held from the West Bethany Chapel of Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Rd., Lititz, PA 17543 on Monday February 6, 2017 at 7 PM. Weaver, Irene M., 79, of Fairmount Homes, formerly of New Holland, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 26, 2017. She was the daughter of the late George, Sr., and Lydia (Martin) Weaver. A member of the Groffdale Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference), she enjoyed observing her birthday.
Miss Weaver is survived by: five brothers, Lester, married to Anna Hoover Weaver, Quarryville, Martin, married to Rachel Zimmerman Weaver of Downingtown, George, Jr., married to Joann Bomberger Weaver, New Holland, Clarence, married to Anna Arlene Martin Weaver, Florida, Mervin, married to Lucinda Stauffer Weaver of Johnsonville, IL; sister, Anna Martin of Ephrata; sister-in-law, Alta Nolt Weaver of Elverson; brother-in-law, Robert Gage of Caldwell, ID; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: a brother, Raymond Weaver; brother-in-law, Daniel Martin; and a sister, Esther Gage.

Weaver, Irene M. Martin, 90, of Ephrata, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Fairmount Homes.
Born in New Holland, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Mary (Rutt) Martin. Her husband, Hoover Weaver, died March 21, 2008.
Irene was a homemaker and a member at Weaverland Mennonite Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was active in the sewing circle. She also enjoyed quilting and baking, especially dinner rolls.
Surviving is a son, Robert Weaver of Syracuse, NY; a daughter, Carol Weaver of Ephrata; a brother, Wilmer, married to Gladys Martin of Ephrata; a sister, Ruth Ann, married to William Martin of East Earl; and a step sister, Henrietta, married to John Shertzer of Lancaster.
Preceding her in death are three siblings, Esther Snader, Carl Martin, and Mary Martin.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2 at 10 am at Weaverland, 210 Weaverland Valley Road, East Earl, with Pastors Brian Martin, Leon Hurst, and C. Kenneth Martin officiating. Weaver, John M., 89, of New Holland, passed into the presence of Jesus on Monday, January 9, 2017, at Garden Spot Village.
Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Chester H. and Mattie (Martin) Weaver. He was married 66 years on February 11 to Alma (Lefever) Weaver.
John owned and operated a dairy farm in New Holland until his retirement in 1979. From 1980-1984, he drove a school bus for Hinkletown Mennonite School, from 1986-1996, he sold real estate, and then worked at Homestead Nutrition.
He was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and trustee, and he also served on the board of directors of Brotherly Aid Fire and Storm Plan. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family, fishing, and golfing.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, Nelson, married to Joyce (Keener) Weaver of New Holland, Delmar, married to Sue (Martin) Weaver of Lykens, Don, married to Linda (Horst) Weaver of New Holland, Phyllis, married to Don Weiler of Morgantown, and Dennis, married to Karen (Kreider) Weaver of New Holland; 29 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; a brother, Alvin Weaver, of Landis Homes; two sisters, Esther Youd, of Myerstown, and Grace, married to Elmer Martin of Ephrata; a son-in-law, Elvin, married to Marilyn Sauder of East Earl; and a daughter-in-law, Wilma, married to Glenn Ricker of Intercourse.
Preceding him in death is a daughter, Lorraine Sauder; a son, Carl Weaver; a granddaughter, Heidi Weaver; three brothers, Paul, Melvin, and Chester Weaver; and three sisters, Edith Newswanger, Mary Ella Weaver, and Lena Hoover.

Weaver, Katherine “Kitty” Rose Phenneger , 88, a resident of Linville, passed away on Nov. 7, 2017. We say goodbye to Kitty, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Kitty was born in Chester County, Pa., one of eight children to Hiram and Esther Rohrer Phenneger.
Kitty loved family, music, sunshine, warm air and gardening. All who met Kitty were blessed to be truly seen — no one more than a child in her presence. Kitty graciously understood the heart in every child, and they recognized her connection to them. She demonstrated her gift through her time spent teaching and volunteering at Sunday school and day care centers. She lived the quote by Lincoln, “Teach the children, so it will not be necessary to teach the adults.”
She met no strangers. Her smile and sparkling blue eyes lit up a room as she entered. Her sweet, sweet spirit is now with the Lord, and remains present with her husband, children, family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Irvin D. Weaver, and eight children: Susan L. Halterman, husband Bernie and daughter Kristin; D. Paul Weaver; Phyllis M. Thomas, husband Alfred and sons, Maxx and Alex; Dale Weaver and children, Ben, Katrina, and Leslie; Douglas P. Weaver, wife Sandra and sons, Joshua and Zachary; Marcia W. Jones and husband Kevin and children, Garyn and Hannah; Dean Mark Weaver, wife Andrea and children, Chloe, Sophia, Kate and Luke; and Kay W. Lera and husband Robert.
Kitty was preceded in death by two children, Judy and David Weaver, her parents, six sisters and one brother.
Pastors Dawn Monger and Jason Kuniholm will conduct a graveside service on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Lindale Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at noon at Lindale Mennonite Church.

Weaver, Kenneth Ray, 76, of Akron, went to meet his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 29, 2017.
He was born October 6, 1941 in Martindale, PA to the late Isaac B. and Anna (Zoll) Weaver. He married Esther L. (Hess) Weaver September 22, 1962. They were married for over 55 years.
He was a member of Calvary Church, Landis Valley Road, Lancaster. After being on 2 mission trips to Russia, he was drawn to a church with a focus on missions.
Ken was a bookkeeper for Hess Eggs for 37 years, Weaver Nut Company for 7 years and Martin's Chair, in New Holland, for 14 years. He graduated from Garden Spot High School, Class of 1959. One of his highlights was receiving a diploma from the Dale Carnegie Course. He grew up with baseball, playing in many church leagues and enjoyed watching college and NFL football. Ken and Esther enjoyed traveling, in addition to Russia, they visited Hawaii twice, the Bahamas 3 times, Jamaica twice, Cancun, St. Thomas and several U.S. states. He also enjoyed mapping out and organizing numerous bus trips for the Ephrata Mennonite Church. Ken was an avid reader of western and suspense novels.
Ken had that award winning smile, especially for his grandchildren. They were a special part of his life.
In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by 3 children, K. Scott Weaver at home, Christina, wife of Scott Wanner of Akron, Suzanne, wife of Jim Steely of New Cumberland; a daughter-in-law, Cyndi Weaver of Narvon; 10 grandchildren, Michael Foltz, Sheena Kloppenberg, Christie, Nicole and Ben Weaver, Derek, Zachary, Rebecca and Joshua Wanner, James Steely; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert I., husband of Linda L. Weaver of East Earl, Jay R., husband of Linda S. Weaver of Denver; a brother-in-law, J. Clair High of Stevens.

GOSHEN - Landis Ray Weaver, 54, of Goshen, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017.
He was born June 4, 1963 to Ivan G. and Ina M. (Martin) Weaver.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Ina and Harvey Weaver; siblings Lynnette Zimmerman, Lauretta Martin and Lyle Weaver; stepsiblings Marie Brubaker, Karen Glick, Kenneth Weaver, Lamar Weaver and Faye Good; and 15 nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his father, Ivan Weaver and a brother, Lealan Weaver.
Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at Harrison Christian School, Goshen and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. service Monday, Oct. 2, at the Yellow Creek Brick Mennonite Church,Goshen.
Burial will follow in the Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery.

Weaver, Laura J. Martin, 90, a resident of Landis Homes, went home to be with her Savior on August 22, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Adam H. and Sadie (Good) Martin of Terre Hill, PA. As of January 1, she was married to Paul W. Weaver for 67 years. Together they operated a farm in the Lititz area. They also were involved in the ministry of Millport Mennonite Church. Laura was involved in the sewing circle. She loved to entertain and was a great addition to Paul's ministry.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 5 children, Carolyn (Ronald Weaver) of Lititz, Gerald (Janet Ginder) of Ephrata, Linda (Wilmer Groff) of Manheim, Sharon Brubaker of Olar, SC, and Jay (Phyllis Sensenig) of Leola; 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were siblings A. Eugene Martin, Harriet Sensenig, J. Horace Martin, C. Lewis Martin, Mildred Horst, C. Edwin Martin, J. Donald Martin, Lillian Leaman, and three siblings who died in their infancy, Sadie Martin, Henrietta Martin, and Robert Martin.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Millport Mennonite Church, 530 Log Cabin Road, Leola, PA 17540 at 2:00 PM. Public viewings will be on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 PM at Bethany West Chapel, Landis Homes, 1001 Oregon Rd., Lititz, PA 17543. The family will be available for visitation from 1:00 to 1:45 PM before the memorial service at the church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Weaver, Leon S., 78, of New Holland, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Temple University Hospital.
He was born in E. Cocalico Twp. to the late Martin S. and Clara D. (Stahl) Weaver.
He attended Springville Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conf.).
Leon is survived by 8 siblings, Eldon, husband of Grace Weaver, Carl, husband of Irene Weaver, both of Port Trevorton, Edward, husband of June Weaver, Joseph, husband of Eunice Weaver, John, husband of Marie Weaver, Clara, wife of Melvin Auker, all of Ephrata, Kathryn, wife of Mervin Martin of New Holland, Mahlon Weaver of Reading and a sister-in-law, Alice Mae Weaver of Quarryville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Weaver, Jr. and 3 sisters, Pauline, Dorothy and Joyce Weaver.

Weaver, Lowell Merlin, age 83, of Goshen, died at 2:17 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born October 15, 1934 to Elias and Martha (Ramer) Weaver. On October 17, 1954 he married Doris B. Martin. He was a member of the Wisler Mennonite Church.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Weaver; daughters, Charlene (Marvin) Ramer, Nappanee, Elaine (Harlan) Zimmerman, Akron, Mary Jane Weaver, Goshen; sons, Steven (Sheryl) Weaver, Goshen and Glenn (Ruth Ann) Weaver, Wakarusa; foster sisters, Ruth Haller, Kansas City, KS and Sharon (Dennis) Zimmerman, Goshen; 32 grandchildren; and 85 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one foster sister, Beatrice (Paul) Martin; 6 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Harrison Christian School. Weaver, Marilyn F. Yoder, 47, of Reading, PA, died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Reading Hospital from a brain hemorrhage.
Born in Millersburg, OH she was the daughter of Pastor Menno and Mary (Kurtz) Yoder of Goshen, IN. She would have been married 25 years on July 3 to W. Ray Weaver.
Marilyn was a homemaker most of her life but worked for a time as a Medical Assistant in Phoenix, AZ and Ephrata, PA. She was a member of New Covenant Mennonite Fellowship where she served as a Sunday school teacher and taught Vacation Bible School. She was also a Homeschool mom and enjoyed scrapbooking, hospitality, taking care of babies and the elderly, counseling with Crisis Pregnancy Center, and spending time with her family. She also served with Gospel Express as a secretary for a year and served with her husband and children as missionaries in Ghana, Africa for five years.
Surviving in addition to her parents and husband are 5 sons, Preston, married to Brieanna (Martin) Weaver of Adamstown, Kendrick, Adrian, Jeremy, and Karsten Weaver all at home; and two brothers and two sisters: Linda, wife of the late Wayne Chupp of Milford, IN, David, married to Laura Yoder of Goshen, IN, Barbara, married to Leon Geigley of Goshen, IN, and Joseph, married to Lorretta Yoder of New Paris, IN.

Weaver, Paul E., 88, of Lititz, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 5, 2017 at United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz; where he was a resident for the past two years. Born in Rothsville, he was the son of the late Mearl and Minerva Garber Weaver. Paul was the loving husband of Esther S. Hess Weaver for 65 years. Paul farmed on the outskirts of Lititz for 16 years, and then was employed by Cooper Booth Wholesale in Mountville for 43 years. In his early years Paul and Esther enjoyed camping at Indian River. He was a member of the Lititz Mennonite Church where he had served as a trustee for a number of years.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are four children: Marilyn (Robert) Sides, Lancaster, Shirley (Jay) Weaver, Lititz, Judy (Dean) Sweigart, Palm Harbor, FL, Glen (Larissa) Weaver, San Jose, CA, and eight grandchildren: Dawn (Ever) Sandoval, Jennifer Weaver, J. Andrew (Bridget) Weaver, Natalie Weaver, Amber Sweigart, Brittany Sweigart, Anya Weaver, and Arianna Weaver, two brothers: John and Roy Weaver both of Lititz. Preceding him in death is a brother Harry and a sister Martha Weaver.

Weaver, Raymond H., 94, of Lincoln Christian Home, Ephrata, died on Saturday, December 9, 2017 of natural causes. He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of South Hinkletown Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.
He was married to Ada Rutt Weaver for 61 years until her death in 2005 and they had lived in Lebanon County for many years. Born December 18, 1922 in East Earl, he was the son of the late Harry and Mary Hurst Weaver. His mother died shortly after his birth and he was raised by the late George and Ada Weaver.
Surviving are three sons, Myron R. husband of Anna Mary Sensenig Weaver of Richland, Marvin R. husband of Miriam Martin Weaver of Blue Ball, and Raymond R. husband of Jan Heck Weaver of Schaefferstown; a daughter, Marlene R. wife of Carl Z. Weaver of Lititz; 15 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by 2 infant grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, by a brother, Elam Weaver, a sister Alta Martin, by half-brothers, Earl Weaver and Ralph Weaver and by a half-sister Anna Bell Zook.

Weaver, Reuben H., 85, of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.
He was born in Stevens to the late Reuben and Martha (Horst) Weaver and was the husband of Ella H. (Wenger) Weaver with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.
He was a member of Ephrata Bible Fellowship Church.
Reuben was a lifelong, dedicated farmer and was a talented salesman who bought, repaired and sold Allis-Chalmers tractors. He loved to play his guitar while also playing his harmonica, performing for family and for events. Reuben's strong faith in the Lord was very important to him and it was his passion to share his testimony with others.
In addition to his wife, Reuben is survived by 3 daughters, Josie, wife of Mike Wenger of East Earl, Janis, wife of Brian Preheim of Ephrata, Jill, wife of Angelo Miele of Elizabethtown; 8 grandchildren, John, husband of Dr. Katie Keown Wenger, Sarah, wife of Justin Hange, Josh, husband of Kendi Wenger, Rachel Wenger, Mathew Preheim, Tom Miele, Ben Miele, Frank Miele; 4 great-granddaughters, Charlotte Hange, Kallie Jo Wenger, Adelaide Hange, Emma Wenger; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Reuben W. Weaver and 5 siblings.

She was born in West Earl Township, Lancaster County, on August 20, 1933, daughter of the late Amos S. and Eva M. (Fox) Groff. She was the wife of the late Levi E. Weaver who died on December 27, 1991.
She was a member of the Valley View Mennonite Church.
Norma was a homemaker and was employed part time by Shady Maple Cafeteria for over 20 years.

SHIPSHEWANA - Wayne Ray Weaver, 18, of Shipshewana, died June 30, at the scene of a motor vehicle accident near Topeka.
He was born on January 1, 1999, in Topeka, to Wilbur C. and Ida Mae (Yoder) Weaver.
Surviving are his parents and brother, Michael Weaver; four sisters, Sue Ann (Derek) Lambright, Alice Ranae (Dale) Yoder, Cheryl Jean and Amanda Kay Weaver; nephews, Jacob Lambright and Kendon Yoder; niece, Nevada Miller; grandparents, Mary L. Weaver and Harry A. and Sue Ann Yoder; and friend Emma Herschberger.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Calvin Weaver.
Visitation is after 3 p.m. July 1, and all-day July 2, at the family’s residence, 10060 West US 20, Shipshewana.
Funeral are at 9:30 a.m. July 3, at the Kenny Otto Residence, 10470 W. US 20, Shipshewana.

Weber, Carol Jean Roupp, 83, of Media, Delaware Co., PA died October 31, 2017 at the same place.
She was born December 30, 1933 at Newton, Harvey Co., KS to Paul Ervin and Gertrude (Troyer) Roupp. Paul was born May 14, 1907 and died June 17, 1992. Gertrude was born June 16, 1901 and died September 4, 1981.
On August 20, 1965 at Hesston, Harvey Co., KS she was married to Richard Rand Weber, who was born July 28, 1938 and survives.
Surviving are children, Mark Allen Weber, spouse Desiree Sabalones Weber; Christine Elizabeth Weber; and Rebecca Joyce Weber; two grandchildren, and a sister, Nadine Leann (Roupp) Stapleton.
A brother, Stanley Troyer Roupp preceded her in death.
Mrs. Weber worked for the Mennonite Publishing House, Scottdale, PA, then for the U.S. Government at the Department of State and the Interstate Commerce Commission, both in Washington, DC; at NASA, the Department of Agriculture, National Security Agency, and the U.S. Army, Fort Meade, all in Maryland. She retired in 1996.
Carol Jean was interested in church, family, cooking, sewing and quilting.
Funeral service was November 4, 2017 at Minsall Shropshire-Bleyler, Media, PA and memorial service was November 6, 2017 at Granite Farms Estates, Media, PA with burial in Paradise Presbyterian Cemetery, Paradise, Lancaster Co., PA.
Weber, Mabel E., 91, formerly of Shillington, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at 1:30 am in Ephrata Community Hospital. She was taken to the hospital from Fairmount Homes Retirement Community, Ephrata. Born in Lancaster, Ms. Weber was the daughter of the late Allen G. and Katie H. (Good) Weber. She was a member of the former Alsace Christian Fellowship Church in Temple and currently a member of Bowmansville Mennonite Church, East Earl.
Ms. Weber is survived by her brother Elmer H. Weber of Peachbottom, PA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Sarah E. Weber; Laura E. Landis and brothers Jacob A. Weber and Edward Lee Weber.

Born June 22, 1919, in Brecknock Twp., the son of the late William G. and Alice (Shirk) Weber. His wife, Ruth S. (Wenger) Weber, died June 20, 2007.
Paul worked as an auto body technician for over 35 years at Lichty Brothers in East Earl, retiring in 1981.
He was a lifetime member at Bowmansville Men-nonite Church where he taught Sunday school for many years.
Surviving are five children, Mary Ellen, married to Marvin Gingrich of Ephrata, Eugene, married to Joyce (Snader) Weber of Reamstown, Marvin Weber, companion of Dennis Witting of Englewood, FL, Robert Weber of Carrolton, TX, and Carl, married to Rose (Ulrich) Weber of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death is a son, Richard Lee Weber (1945); a sister, Elsie Weber; and a daughter-in-law, Thresa (Chapman) Weber.

LAGRANGE – Katie Weirich, 95, of LaGrange, formerly of Sarasota, Florida, died at 7:35 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 23, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
She was born on Jan. 7, 1922 in Shipshewana to Daniel and Elizabeth (Kauffman) Weirich.
Surviving are a sister, Anna Chupp of Shipshewana; a brother, Ora (Kathrine) Weirich of Goshen; 17 nieces and 15 nephews, many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Harley E., Harry, Joe and Eli Weirich; two sisters, Ida Miller and Nona Yoder; two nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 26, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27, also at the funeral home.

GRANGER - Norma Jean Weldy, 87, of Granger, formerly of Goshen, died at 6:11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Brookdale Granger.
She was born Aug. 26, 1929, in Bremen, to Eldon J. and Lucille L. (Martin) Weldy.
Surviving are a sister, Karen Kaufman of Indianapolis; brother Verlyn R. “Vern” (Celine) Weldy of Cave Creek, Ariz.; nieces and nephews, Kathy (Vince Weaver) Weldy, Philip (Phoebe Brubaker) Kaufman, Monica (Tracy Couillard) Kaufman, Glenda (Macon) Oakley, Patricia “Trisha” Murray, Jonathan (Lisa) Weldy; six great-nieces and nephews; and two great-great-nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Theron J. Weldy.
Norma was a teacher and professor of nursing at Goshen College for more than 30 years and was also the author of the book, “Body Fluids and Electrolytes” and its editions.
She was a member of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, where she was the director of Stephen Ministry and a member of the Goshen College Alumni.

Weldy, Norma Jean, 87, of Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN died January 10, 2017 at Granger, St. Joseph Co., IN. She was born August 26, 1929 at Bremen, Marshall Co., IN to Eldon J. and Lucille L. (Martin) Weldy.
Surviving are a sister, Karen Weldy and a brother, Verlyn R. (Celine) Weldy.
A brother, Theron J. Weldy preceded her in death.

Wenger, Evelyn Blanche Hartman, 87, of Harrisonburg, VA died July 5, 2017 at Sentara RMH Medical Center. She was born August 6, 1929 at Harrisonburg, VA to . On September 8, 1950 she was married to Sheldon "Shelly" L. Wenger, who was born April 5, 1925 and survives.
Surviving are children, Marcia Summers (husband Burnett); Ronald Wenger (wife Joyce); Val Mongold (husband Dennis); and H.L. Wenger (wife Cindy); eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dwight Hartman (wife Pearl).
Her siblings, Raymond Hartman, Ewell Hartman, and Brownie Bumbaugh preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wenger volunteered at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Highland Retreat Center, and participated in Bible Study Fellowship. She enjoyed quilting and making Teddy Bears for the infants at the hospital.
Memorial services were held July 10, 2017 at Strite Auditorium of VMRC, Harrisonburg, Rockingham Co., VA.
Wenger, Louella Jane Knicely, 91, a resident of Dayton, passed away on Dec. 15, 2017.
Mrs. Wenger was born on Nov. 13, 1926, in Dayton and was the daughter of the late Daniel C. and Mary Etta Jones Knicely. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church.
On Feb. 9, 1949, she married Harry Heatwole Wenger, who passed away on Jan. 30, 1999.
Surviving are five children, Willard Wenger and wife, Elsie, of Mount Crawford, Frances Rohrer and husband, Galen, of Dayton, Martha Eberly and husband, David, Paul Wenger and wife, Lois, and Melva Wenger and husband, James, all of Rockingham; two brothers, Amos Knicely and wife, Anna, of Dayton, and Howard Knicely and wife, Arlene, of Rockingham; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wenger was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Knicely and David Knicely; seven sisters, Pauline Horst, Marie Rohrer, Ethel Rohrer, Alice Knicely, Reba Shank, Martha Shirk and Blanche Martin; and a grandson, Jason W. Wenger.
Ministers of the church will conduct a funeral service on Monday morning, Dec. 18, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Pleasant View Old Order Mennonite Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The body will be taken back to the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Galen and Frances Rohrer, 1848 Hinton Road, Dayton, Va., where friends may call on Saturday and Sunday until 8 p.m.

Wenger, Mary Catherine Herr, 88, formerly of Lititz passed away after an extended illness on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the Lincoln Christian Home, Ephrata. Born in Millersville, she was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Mary Harnish Herr. She was the loving wife of Mervin D. Wenger and they celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in March. Mary Catherine was a homemaker and in her earlier years, she owned Wenger's Gift Shop, Lititz. She was also a member of New Haven Mennonite Church, Lititz.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four daughters, Carolyn (Edward) Schrock, A. Lorraine (Philip) Parbel both of Myerstown, Shirley (Sam) Pierce of Manheim, and Mary Lou (Ben) Mellinger of Denver, 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, two brothers, Donald (Dorcas) Herr of Aaronsburg, Robert (Mary) Herr of Brownstown, two sisters, Martha (Wilmer) Myer of Richfield, Miriam Kreider of Elizabethtown, brother-in-law, Daniel Brenneman, foster sister, Patricia Eby and foster brother, Jay Miller. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Grace Graybill, Harold Herr and Lois Lowe.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at New Haven Mennonite Church, 230 Crest Road, Lititz on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 10:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the church on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM and again on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Wenger, Mildred Kreider, 90, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Fairmount Homes.
Born on May 22, 1926 in Hershey, she was the daughter of late Aaron and Katie (Lehman) Kreider and was the wife of the late Daniel E. Wenger for 70 years, who preceded her in death 8 months ago.
Mildred dedicated her time and energies to raising their 5 children on a small poultry farm near Mt. Airy. She and Daniel were members of Gehman Mennonite Church where she enjoyed playing piano and organ. Mildred gave music lessons to many piano students through the years.
She also wrote children's stories based on anecdotes from her grandchildren's lives which were featured in numerous church papers. Many devotional readings have also been published. Together Mildred and Dan worked as volunteers with MCC and traveled with MCC groups to visit countries where those craft products were handmade.
Mildred is survived by 5 children, Daniel K., married to Janet (High) Wenger of Denver, Barbara, married to Jonas Borntrager of Harrisonburg, VA, Harry, married to Bev (Derstine) Wenger of Stevens, Rachel Kreamer of Stevens, Jim, married to Vicki (Dietz) Wenger of Stuartstown; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a sister, Janette Wenger.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by a sister, Ada Wine.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017, from 10 to 11 AM at the Gehman Mennonite Church, 127 Witmer Road, Reinholds, followed by memorial services at 11 AM with Reverend Phil Horning officiating. Interment will take place in the Gehman Mennonite Cemetery.

Wenger, Paul H., 93, of Hesston, Harvey Co., KS died October 13, 2017 at the same place. He was born June 11, 1924 at Versailles, Missouri to Jesse and Ella (Lehman) Wenger. On September 19, 1948 at Versailles he was married to Lela Ruth Bentch, who survives.
Surviving are children, Barb and Lew Thomas; Twila and Jeff Snowden; Dwayne and Brenda Wenger; and Donna and Romney Heinrichs; and eight grandchildren.

She was born on May 2, 1989.
On June 29, 2016, she married David K. Wickey, Jr., he survives.
Survivors are her husband, infant daughter, Henry and Ella (Bontrager) Mast; three sisters, Sara Sue (Elmer) Beechy, LorEtta (Sam) Schrock, Arlene (Orva) Eash; four brothers, Ernest (Leona) Mast, Norman (Nettie) Mast, Leland (Norma) Mast and Calvin (Fannie) Mast; sister-in-law, Dora (Lavon) Lehman; grandfather, Harley E. Miller; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m.Sunday, July 9 and all day Monday, July 10 at the Elmer Hochstetler residence, 1455 N. 300 East, LaGrange.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, also at theresidence.
Services will be conducted by Bishop Mervin Whetstone and the home ministers.

Wideman, Joanne Nancy Shantz, 68 , of St. Jacobs, ON, Canada died December 28, 2017 at Cambridge, Waterloo County, Ontario from cancer. She was born September 4, 1949 at Baden, ON to Nyal and Helen Shantz. On June 19, 1976 she was married to Cliff Wideman, who was born June 24, 1949 and survives.
Surviving are her mother; children, Amy (Mike) and Scott, Trevor (Jody) Wideman; two grandchildren, and siblings, Richard (Connie) Shantz, Lorrie (Roger) Baechler, Pauline (Dr. Glenn) Martin, and Mike (Linda) Shantz.
Her father preceded her in death.

Wiebe, Mary Ann Faye Goertz, 80, of Whitewater, Butler Co., KS died February 16, 2017 at the same place from cancer. She was born February 12, 1937 at Newton, Harvey Co., KS to Henry I. and Anna (Schmidt) Goertz. On October 16, 1959 at Goessel, KS she was married to Willard J. Wiebe, who survives.
Surviving are children, Teresa Martin, and Chris Wiebe; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services were held February 20, 2017 at Grace Hill Mennonite Church, Whitewater, Harvey Co., KS with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Wilcox, Charles A., 81, of Lansdale, PA died August 26, 2017 at Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA. He was born December 23, 1935 at West Point, Montgomery Co., PA to Austin and Doris (Kinsey) Wilcox. He was married to Debbie Colliver, who survives.
Surviving are children, Timothy Dixon and Scott Swain; and a sister, Diane Costak.
A son, Mark Swain preceded him in death.

She was born on Oct. 26, 1935, to Henry and Lydian (Troyer) Frye.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer J. Wingard; four daughters, Erma (Leonard) Frey of Topeka, Ruby (Danny) Troyer, Ruth (Harlan) Miller, Lora (John) Beachey; a daughter-in-law, Velda Wingard; eight sons, Sam Wingard, Dave (Velda) Wingard, Elmer (Eva) Wingard, Jr., Danny (Loretta) Wingard, Cletus (Jenean) Wingard, Ray (Erma) Wingard, Steven (Velda) Wingard, Kenny (Carol) Wingard; two brothers, Noah (Mary) Frye of Middlebury, Sam Frye; sister, Edna (Freeman S.) Miller.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, and all day Sunday, May 28, at the Ray Wingard residence, 2285 South 600 West, Topeka.

TOPEKA - Elmer J. Wingard, 82, of Topeka, died Friday, Sept. 22.
He was born April 4, 1935, to Joseph and Fannie (Miller) Wingard.
He married Ella H. Frye.
Surviving are daughters Erma Frey, Ruby Troyer, Ruth Miller of Nappanee, Lora Beachey; sons Sam, Dave, Elmer Jr. and Danny Wingard, Cletus, Ray, Steven and Kenny Wingard; 62 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; brothers Clarence, Joe Jr., Ray, Freman, Ferman, Jay and John Wingard; sisters Mary Miller and Ruby Mast.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; son Jerry Wingard; five sisters; and two brothers.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, and all day Sunday, Sept. 24, at the Ray Wingard residence, 2285 S. 600 W., Topeka.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, at the Duane Wingard residence, 5930 W. 200 S., Topeka.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, LaGrange.

GOSHEN - Marcus James Wingard, 11 day old infant son of Joseph and LeAnna (Yoder) Wingard of Goshen, died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at Riley Children’s Hospital, Indianapolis.
He was born four weeks early Feb. 15, in Fort Wayne.
He was a Down Syndrome child with heart and respiratory complications.
Survivors in addition to his parents are a brother, Seth William Wingard at home; grandparents Freman and Leora Wingard of Shipshewana and Marvin and Etta Fern Yoder of Goshen; and great-grandfather Mahlon Bontrager of Shipshewana.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, at the Marvin Yoder Residence, 62137 C.R. 33, Goshen.
Services will be conducted by Bishop Simon Schmucker and the home ministers.
Burial will be in Nisley Cemetery, Goshen.

Witmer, Lois A., 88, a resident of Landis Homes, died Thursday, January 12, 2017.
Born in West Lampeter Twp., she was the daughter of the late Arthur G. and Katie H. Witmer.
Lois graduated from Penn Manor High School, received her Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Mennonite College and her Master's from Millersville University. She started her teaching career by teaching at Locust Grove Mennonite School for 15 years. She then taught at Faith Mennonite High for 12 years and at Linville Hill for two years. Lois spent two years working for Choice Books Caribbean Ministry in St. Croix and Puerto Rico from 1989-1991.
Lois was a member of the Willow Street Mennonite Church where she had taught Sunday School and Bible School. Her interests included writing, flowers, and music.
Surviving is a brother, A. Clyde Witmer of Lititz; three sisters, Anna wife of John Miller of Stuarts Draft, VA, Ethel wife of Elwood Swartzentruber of Kalona, IA, and Dorothy Hess of Logan, OH; and a sister-in-law, Naomi Shenk Witmer of Denver. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Garman, and by a brother, J. Donald Witmer.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 17, at 12:00 Noon at the Willow Street Mennonite Church, 399 E. Penn Grant Road, Willow Street, PA with Pastor Joe Sherer officiating. Friends may call at the East Bethany Chapel at Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, PA on Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. and at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Benevolent Fund at Landis Homes.
Witmer, Warren Isaiah, 86, of Archbold, Fulton Co., OH died May 3, 2017 at the same place. He was born February 3, 1931 at Columbiana, Ohio to Ezra and Lulu (Shaum) Witmer. On May 2, 1952 he was married to Lucille Mae Detwiler, who was born November 16, 1931 and died February 18, 2016.
Surviving are children, Dennis Witmer of Silver Spring, MD; Joyce (Mark) Nafziger of Archbold, OH; Marlene Wilhelm of Homer City, PA; Gerald (Marlene) Witmer of Poolesville, MD; and Dale Wenger (son-in-law) of Columbiana, OH; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a brother, David Witmer of Columbiana, OH.
A daughter, Cheryl Wenger; and siblings, Vernon Witmer, John Witmer, Anna Mary Weaver, Arlene Weaver, and Martha Bacher preceded him in death.
He started a construction company, WD Builders, with his brother John. The business then became Potomac Valley Builders, which continues today. Warren was a craftsman, who enjoyed working with wood, traveling, and especially gardening. He was known for his beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. He enjoyed sharing the bounty with everyone. His favorite thing was to be outside watching his plants grow.

Wyse, Charles J., 92, of Archbold, Fulton Co., OH died August 24, 2017 at Bryan, Williams Co., OH. He was born June 25, 1925 at Archbold to Charley and Cora (Rupp) Wyse. He was married to Patty Short, who survives.
Surviving are children, Samuel (June) Wyse, David (Karen) Wyse, Audrey (Rob) Fricke, Chris (Christy) Wyse; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Marvin (Tex) Wyse, and Merle (Donna) Wyse.
One grandchild, brothers Orval Wyse, Wayne Wyse, and infant Jesse; sisters Ada Short, and infant Evelyn preceded him in death.

Wyse, Wesley Elwood, 82, of Archbold, Fulton Co., OH died March 8, 2017 at the same place. He was born September 20, 1934 at Wayland, IA to Fred and Mina (Graber) Wyse. On October 7, 1953 he was married to Evelyn Jane Short, who survives.
Surviving are children, Julie (Steve) Nofziger, Russ (Sandy) Wyse, Gary (Robin) Wyse, and Rita (Mark) Mitchell; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
An infant daughter Susan Marie, a grandson-in-law Spencer Johnson, a brother, Orlin F. Wyse and a sister, Bernice (Maynard) Wyse preceded him in death.
Wesley was owner of Wyse Book & Office Supplies; Trained IBM service technician; In 1982 had the foresight to become the area's first Apple Computer dealership; taught Sunday School; led singing; served on church building committee; sang in a quartet for many years.
